At our clinic, we see a wide variety of children with a range of medical, developmental and learning concerns. Through history taking and parental report, we draw a profile of the child on the home and the school fronts, sometimes aided further by a school visit. The clinical session allows us to have a good idea of the child’s abilities and disabilities. Further assessments are then advised and administered as needed, before recommendations for stimulation, intervention and schooling are made. We also provide the liaison between family and school as well as between family and interventional agencies, such as SG Enable (for referral to the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children – EIPIC).

Our medical director, Dr Lian Wee Bin, has had more than 20 years of experience in managing and treating children of all ages, from birth through childhood into adolescence. Trained both locally and overseas, her specialty is in the field of care and follow-up of high-risk newborns as well as the special needs child with developmental concerns. She is supported by Ms Sharon Lam, Consultant Psychologist and member of the pioneer team for the National Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Programme and the National Cochlear Implant Programme. Ms Lam has extensive experience both in local and overseas centres in assessing and managing children with a wide variety of developmental and learning disorders.
